Selling Your Pittsburgh Home
Part 1 of a continuing series...
My team and I have compiled what we consider the best
general selling tips we know, and we will have very
specific ideas for your home, as well as those which
follow. The best thing you can do is consult with our
team. Our goal is to help you sell you home as quickly
as possible and realize the most amount of money possible
from the sale. We have over 25 years of combined real
estate experience and in-house design skills to strategically
help you in your decisions.
Clutter: saying goodbye is the hardest
part!
De-cluttering is the hardest thing for people to do
because they are emotionally attached to everything
in their home. After years of living in the same place,
clutter creeps up on you in such a way that may not
be immediately evident. It does affect the way your
buyer will see the home, even if you do not realize
it.
Clutter gathers on shelves, counter tops, drawers,
closets, garages, attics, and basements. You want as
much open space as possible, so every extra little thing
needs to be cleared away. Perhaps you can store your
items at an off-site storage facility if you can’t
bear to part with your things!
Try not to be defensive, but take a step back and pretend
you are the buyer. Let a friend point out areas of clutter
and let your real estate professional, Arlene Guastella
help as well.
